In 2007, a small group of healthcare professionals and like-minded individuals in Kochi came together with a shared vision to offer free treatment and palliative care to cancer patients., As they progressed with their mission they became aware of the heart-breaking reality faced by terminally ill and bedridden patients from low-income families.They encountered patients who had been abandoned by their family members at public hospitals, simply because their families could no longer afford treatment.
Cancure Foundation was born out of a shared vision of these individuals that every person, regardless of their economic circumstances, deserves compassionate care and dignity at the end of life.
What began as informal efforts to help individual families soon transformed into a comprehensive support network, with the founders pooling their expertise and resources to build something greater—ensuring that deserving patients receive continuous and compassionate care.
