‘Rotary For Her Care’ is a life-saving initiative committed to the early detection and treatment of breast cancer among women, especially in underserved communities. This Project is done in collaboration with Amrita Hospital, Cochin and offers free breast cancer screening to women from rural backgrounds using a mobile mammogram unit , provided to Cancure by Rotary International bringing critical healthcare directly to their doorsteps.
Breast cancer, when detected early, can be effectively treated. However, many women delay screening due to lack of awareness, financial constraints, or limited access to diagnostic facilities. This project addresses all three barriers by combining community outreach, free screenings, and free treatment for diagnosed cases.
Beyond screening, ‘Rotary For Her Care’ also focuses on sensitizing women about the importance of early detection, empowering them with knowledge and encouraging proactive health decisions. Awareness sessions are conducted alongside screening camps to educate participants about breast health, risk factors, and the benefits of timely medical intervention.
